Texting allowances and overage are measured in segments. A standard GSM-7 message uses one segment up to 160 characters, or 153 per segment in a longer message. Unicode, including emoji, uses 70 units for one segment or 67 per segment in a longer message, so a message under 160 characters can use several segments. Questions owners ask.
- Is Free really free?
- Yes. One user, every client-facing feature, no limit on records and no time limit. The only thing we take is 1% of card payments, from your payout, never from your client. Once that passes $40 in a month, the app shows you how Free and Plus compare.
- When does Plus pay for itself?
- Plus has no fee from us on card payments. At $7,900/month in card payments, Free’s 1% equals the $79 plan, so above that Plus costs less. Below that, you are paying for the texting number and inbox, batch invoicing, custom lead-form questions and a second user.
- When is Pro worth it?
- Pro includes five users. Plus with five users is $136/month, so Pro is $23 more. That buys the business overview, reports on payments due and bad debt, three times the texts, and automations you build yourself.
- What happens after the 14-day trial?
- The trial is a Pro trial with no card. If you don’t pick a plan, your account moves to Free. Every record stays. Only the Owner can sign in. Upgrade later and your team is back.
- Who counts as a user?
- Anyone who signs in: owner, office or field. Clients using the portal are not users. A user you remove stops being billed at the next renewal.
- Is there a contract?
- No. Cancel a monthly plan in one click and keep using it through the month you paid for. Annual plans cost the same as 10 monthly payments. Cancel within 30 days of your first annual payment and you get a full refund.
- What is the 1% fee on Free?
- On Free, we keep 1% of each card payment. It comes out of your payout, never as an added charge to your client. It does not apply to tips or bank payments. Plus and Pro have no such fee. Once Free’s fees pass $40 in a month, the app shows you how Free and Plus compare. The payment processor’s normal card and bank fees apply on every plan.
- How does texting work on Free?
- Once your business is verified for texting, Free includes up to 25 automatic texting segments a month from a shared number: reminders, on-my-way texts and invoice links. Free has no inbox for replies. Plus and Pro include your own business number with an inbox for sending and receiving texts, subject to carrier approval. A dedicated number requires an eligible business with an EIN; sole proprietors cannot register. Plan prices stay the same if you are ineligible. The one-time $99 setup fee covers registration with the phone carriers, and it isn’t refunded if the carriers reject your business.
- We close for the winter. Do we pay all year?
- No. Drop to Free for the off season and keep every record. If you want to keep your texting number, hold it for $5/month and pick the plan back up in spring.
- Can we leave with our data?
- Yes. The Owner can export every client, quote, job, invoice and payment to CSV at any time, on every plan.
